Supporting Hope, One Toy at a Time
As a local Northern Nevada business, Nevada Dumpsters is proud to be a dedicated community partner of the Marine Toys for Tots program, helping bring joy to children in Carson City, Douglas County, and our surrounding communities.
Our Commitment to the Community
For us, being a local business is about more than just providing a service; it's about supporting the community we call home. In 2022, our owner, Joe Ortiz, connected with the local Toys for Tots campaign and saw an opportunity to help.
By providing our dumpsters at their warehouse for trash and cardboard disposal, we were able to help the campaign save on critical expenses, allowing them to focus their funds directly on their mission. We are thrilled to continue this partnership through 2025 and are deeply committed to supporting the incredible work Toys for Tots does for families right here in our backyard.
About the Marine Toys for Tots Mission
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program has been delivering a message of hope for over 75 years. Their mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children, making a real difference during the holiday season.
This wonderful program serves over 2,000 children in need each year right here in Carson, Douglas, Storey, and West Lyon counties. It’s an honor to play a small part in an effort that has such a significant local impact.
Join Us in Supporting Toys for Tots
This incredible program relies on the generosity of people like you. Here’s how you can join us in supporting Toys for Tots and make a real difference for a local child this year.
Donate to Our Local Campaign
Every dollar helps. Financial contributions allow the program to purchase toys to fill any gaps in the collection drive. You can make a secure donation directly to our local chapter.
Volunteer Your Time
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the campaign, helping to sort, organize, and distribute thousands of toys. If you would like to volunteer your time, please get in touch with the local coordinator.
How to Receive Assistance
If your family needs assistance this holiday season, the program is here to help. Sign-ups for toys are managed through the Ron Wood Family Resource Center starting the week after Thanksgiving.
